Oh yea, back in the day I've replaced more than one pin connector. This one I might have done that on too. I've heard lately though the after market ones really aren't as good as the OEM and often enough they just needed cleaning.

So, my NES has been doing the power light flicker and not showing any game. I did some things to try to clean it a bit, but I could do more. I hear this could be due to the lockout chip going bad, and some suggestions to cut the connection to fix it. Anything less drastic to try first?
