The super extra advocacy of #BlueSky on the #Fediverse feels a lot like those ppl who have to tell you how OMG AMAZING their relationship is like, daily bc they know deep down that their relationship is actually pretty meh.

Like okay we get it you like Bluesky, so enjoy it and stop logging on here to be all "OMG U ARE SO LAAAME" bc all you're doing is making yourself look like a corpo simp.

I want to like #Firefox, I really do. But at least on mobile, the app is pretty crap. And the attitude of some of the org / community is a huge turn off.

So yeah, I guess time to ditch it for something less buggy. Yay.

(Biggest irks: 4 years of an unaddressed "download failed" error, sneaking in AI and data collection.)

I guess this is kind of the issue with a lot of alt software / services. Communities are like "if you don't like it, just learn programming and fix it" like that's somehow a reasonable request. Or they think that bad UI or missing features give it character.

Linux is rly bad for this though it has improved. Firefox. And yeah, Fedi / Masto / etc too.

@dalias I've just uninstalled it. Between this, the sneaky process of enabling privacy backward settings, bugs that they ignore for years ("download failed" anyone?) and the utter attitude they display when called out...

...hell, I'm better like... going with a corp. At least they're honest about spying on me and "for your own good"ing me.

@ericmpaq @silverwizard I'd like, check the lore but the lore is so confusing and contradictory, ugh. Me over here trying to write a guide to tiefs and there are about 666,137 versions that are or were 'canon.'

@ericmpaq Rly? I have the old 3E FR setting book and they were all over the place with heights, looks, etc but not sure if that's part of WotC's flatten and simplify discards now. Mostly lifespans and stuff seemed the same tho?
