That's a shame, especially now because of course #MAGA & #Trump will tout this as an example of the #DEI tainted #woke thinking leading the world astray from the glories of burning long dead jungles, forests & animals.

It was an #experiment that needed to be tried, another path proved superior as it matured & it is likely time to shut the tower down so we can fund the better alternative.

Please feel free to tell me I'm wrong about the MAGA spin though, I'd love to be wrong...

Not the real response you were looking for here but I wanted to thank you for your differentiation between "dumb" and "ignorant" and for openly owning your ignorance.

Everyone is ignorant of something. I'm ignorant of innumerable things.

Wouldn't it be cool if everyone could do what you did here?

Say "I'm ignorant, help me out?"

And then...how much more cool to get a kind, helpful, honest, ethical and correct as answer?

I would loop back to any excesses of greed, even greed for power, will undo any political or economic system which is why I am less interested in economic classifications and more on concepts of #education, #universalhealthcare, healthy #civilsociety, and so on. Am I futilely trying to boil the ocean again? <SIGH> Probably....

I think #socialism is a great ideal, but part of making a sea change in a country with the current #education level of the USA is working toward the possible. There are millions of poisoned minds here that are convinced that socialism == #totalitarianism, to gain traction we need to start with something comparatively simple. If the #USA could achieve #universalhealthcare in my lifetime without a massive letting of blood that would be miraculous.

I can make a good argument that greed, rather than Regan, brought down the USSR.

If I remember correctly (and if I was taught the truth🤔) Orwell's #1984 was about #communism but I think, in light of the present, that the moral applies equally to any society led by elitists.

I don't think limited #capitalism (with #publicsafety, #corrections, #masstransit, #education & #healthcare excluded) is that bad.

I think it's the greed & arrogance that bring the fall of all

The #USA is on the wrong side of history, again, on the issue here.

@br00t4c He has been such a disappointment to me. I don't regret voting for him or Harris given the alternative but I do blame the DNC for failing the to build a viable succession plan following Obama.

It wasn't Clinton, likely should have been Sanders though even he has his flaws. 2024 isn't on the Republicans, it was the Democrats to lose and they did.

Interesting that we're primarily looking at Tesla electric doors here. As I think about my Subaru, when the back doors are locked I have frequently had passengers ask how to unlock them and, again if the front doors are locked I don't see an easy way to extract a victim who is unconscious or panicked other than breaking a window as the truck driver in this incident did.

I'm not dismissing the problem, I just think it's a lot bigger than Tesla or EVs in general.

It now seems that Trump has backed off and is saying that he will pardon "some" of the J6 rioters. Of course he and his followers will try to revise history and class that was the message all along.

I wonder if Kelly is on that list?
