The Highest Level of All: The Story of Fantasy Wargaming
The Highest Level of All: The Story of Fantasy Wargaming by Mike Monaco, is a free pdf download published at CMU Press under a CC BY-NC-ND license, and dealing with the history of the eponymous (if a bit incongruously titled) Fantasy Wargaming roleplaying game system. Yes, it turns out you can write whole books not only about DnD. At least if it's something as weird as that game at least.

@powersoffour@carcosa oh it was good, but my kid had a phase of not liking anything I was watching in his presence and when it was over it had slipped my mind
got the weird idea to have a look at RPTools' #MapTool again, which of course led to me getting derailed from making the #RPi#ttrpg utility system. which then got derailed into looking at all those pretty pretty #battlemaps I collected during the last time I had exactly this kind of thing going.
Short #threads thought: so yeah, you think Zuckerberg wants to invade the usual #fediverse, but Gab and Truth Social are also running on #activitypub. He's after that sweet, sweet right wing content Facebook made its money with...
@mastodonmigration@pfefferle@notiz.blog@pfefferle@mastodon.social I noticed issues specifically with 4.2.1 of mastodon. it does not update unless someone else in my feed already updated (I use my pixelfed account for that now). It also does not let me actually follow my own blog from mastodon. others on the same version seem to have the same issue. although my friendica now also doesn't work.
