Thursday wandered in looking like a cat that has fallen in the bath! Very wet n ‘orrible here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire.

As regular Squirrel fans will know I’m pretty much solar powered so it will come as no surprise I’m not firing on all cylinders this morning.

A quiet day hiding away is on the cards I think.

Tuesday has rocked up on the doorstep, shaking the rain off its coat & demanding tea & biscuits!

Yes it’s a wet & windy start here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire, the weather witches making up for the driest Spring on record!

Breakfast has been consumed & I’m supping my coffee before I commit to starting the day.

I restarted Cyberpunk 2077 last night - I often do this with new games - once I’ve got the hang of them it makes for a more enjoyable run.
So I think there will be another day of roaming Night City today.

It’s hard for us in the UK to understand the whole gun culture thing in the US.

Here it’s not usual to own a gun unless you’re rich, a farmer or a criminal.

Our police are not normally armed with anything more than a taser - it’s a surprise on the rare occasions we see armed officers.

I regret that y’all have to carry firearms, but if it acts as a deterrent then who am I to judge.

I would say that it’s 100% easier to shoot someone by mistake with a gun than without though & if there are guns around the house with youngsters then kids will be kids no matter how many times they are told not to touch.

All that said, you & yours are trapped it seems, the NRA will ensure that guns are always available and racism is rife in the US so you will always be under threat.

Do what you need to do & be safe my friend!!

Tuesday has started a lot colder & duller than yesterday.
Had a bit of a rough night last night, lots of muscles complaining about the ongoing abuse.

Gonna give them a bit of a rest this morning & read my book.
I’ll probably put in a couple of hours on the ongoing gravel cleaning exercise after lunch when the temps have risen a bit.

Friday is grey & grisly with the temperature lurking around 9ºC. A bit cooler than yesterday’s 15º!

I worked my nuts off yesterday so, given that I’m not a big fan of being out in the rain, I’m having today off.
I will have to crack on with the filter bed tomorrow though!

But today there will be much reading of my book & maybe a movie & perhaps a little time gaming.
