My kid has never known the lie as reality but I did, and this young woman did, you can't blame people for where they started, only where they end up. Working yourself out of conventional narrative isn't easy for most. I'm a born contrarian, so my shift too bad, I welcome new info and take it in. A lot of people are not like that and a lot of people are financially tied to a narrative. Its complicated.

The hardest thing about being an adult is reflecting back to when you were a kid and believing adults were fucking stupid and then growing up to only understand how validated your inner child is. That perhaps there was this missing variable that when you grew up would put all these pieces in place, but it never arrives, and time after time, your first impression proves right, over and over.
