     You can't touch a right therefore rights don't exist.

     Nah, this is midwit logic.

     You also can't touch love or words or beauty or ideas or instincts. Yet they are vital parts of the human experience.

     It is true that 'rights' are not self-enforcing, so in that sense he is not completely wrong. However, there are certain conventions that when adopted reciprocally, make human societies parsemonious and prosperous. From an evolutionary perspective, it's not difficult to understand why there would be a competitive advantage to develop an innate respect and affinity for those conventions, so in that sense 'rights' very much do exist every bit as much as 'love' or 'beauty'.

     In any event, after the crazy thing he just said about "owning" (and redeveloping) Gaza ... that's absolutely insane imo.

     So i wouldn't put it past him. Pretty dumb (but we're told he's crazy like a fox by his avid supporters).

     we'll see. He's made a lot of good decisions. Taking back Panama would be another one. I'm "cold" (neutral) on Greenland. Not an icecap I want to live or die on.

     @mk @Henhouse_Cockerel In one editorial I saw today the critic observed that Trump, the inveterate real estate developer, thinks this will be like clearing out a slum in NYC and building a section 8 project (US subsidized apartments owned by private developers). Could he be that stupid? Like i say, "they" say he's crazy like a fox. That would be very naive when considering Palestine and its long history. At this stage no one can take some of his wild@$$ remarks seriously.
