These problems will hopefully resolve themselves, bc of diminuishing returns. There was this famous post on HN https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8908462 if I found the right one, and it was all about the hype vs engineering, deep thinking and lean tools.

Maybe Plan9 or the BSDs will remain "pure" or purer and many of the life long nerds will switch to them.

My problem is that societal/normie-software will be enforced (CBDs e.g.) and I can not defend myself.

    Yes!

BUT the indogermanic root of milk is derived from some specific juices and some saps were called Milch for centuries. Tough choice. But juice would ckear the misunderstanding. And in German, Hafersaft sounds like Hafermilch to any non German speaker.

"Popular" has exactly this meaning to me.
    Example:
The lady at the checkout will with a slightly higher probability know mysql because her gymnastics club has a website and she is the improvising admin of that site. Php+mysql...

SQlite is nowhere in her life.

You dont get it, no problem. Many such cases in IT.

Popular is still a reflected sentiment of humans and not a real quantity. What she never sees she can't like. Should be obvious.

    >know are ones who work on unix systems and would use a RDBMS like MySQL

    Nobody says this

    Meine Güte bist du kurz

Read again what I wrote, you misread bc you have fixed images in your head. I never wrote UNIX or something or devs. The only example I made was a fucking cashier with a giant ass who is accidental admin of a club.

There are tens of millions who dabble in web stuff and who like to do it. = popular.

There was one p2p software written in python or Delphi or C(++) and one idiocracy moment in JAVA

The java shit always produced a OOM. >:
