I am actually fine with gatekeeping things from people, most people are stupid and evil and use tech for bad things. Also I can ask the creators of Grayjay to give me explicit permission to publish my modification in the clearnet, and if they are good people and I am good people and we like each other they will give me permission.

      @SuperDicq @CapitalB @sun I disagree with this, just because something is virtual it doesnt mean it cannot be property, like a physical thing can be property.

      I see many parallels between the process of research, design and construction to make a building and the same to make a computer program.

      And I also disagree that any virtual or informational thing must be given to "anybody", for example I consider the Chinese nation-state to be an enemy of me and I do not want them to have access to software developed in Europe so that they can try to outcompete or hack.
