    "you're never going to get 100% of what you want and getting the most of what you want requires accepting that" is an important (but painful) part of the trans experience in general imo

    Most feminism is going to end up being at least somewhat focused on cis women specifically in some way or another, just because cis women make up the vast majority of women. That's not necessarily transphobic, just an unfortunate side effect of something like 99% of women having certain specific traits that something like 99% of non-women don't have. Often it's just negligence, if that's the right word, rather than malice.

    I'm no scholar of feminism but I feel like the push to be gender neutral about absolutely everything is in many ways harmful to feminism and often ends up doing more harm than good. Also, unfortunately, often pushes people neutral on trans issues towards being more transphobic. Bad optics, you know? Screeching at a feminist that she's transphobic and making a huge fuss about it because she's using a pussy to represent feminism is probably only going to piss her off and make her like trans people less, it's probably not going to make her think "Oh true I should be more considerate of trans women". People often just can't be polite about these kinds of things and jump straight to making everything a vitriolic fight. It's also easy to end up feeling like it's just more suppression of speech and self expression. It's a complicated issue.

    Jagex did a little mech game where lag was a feature, there were different game modes with different amounts of latency between inputs. Everyone just played on instant speed (which absolutely demolished the game's balance) which sucked because needing to plan out in advance and try to preemptively react to attacks coming at you was a lot of fun.

    The extent of the movie's criticisms of Trump are "I don't like Trump!". Nothing meaningful whatsoever, the villain is nothing like Trump outside of aesthetics and his fans wearing red hats. Nothing about his views felts like an actual critique of Trump - calling him a strawman is being too generous. It honestly reminds me of the King from Fallout NV, with how he was just some dude who found an Elvis impersonator club and decided "oh this guy sounds cool, I should dress like him and mimic his way of speaking" without knowing anything about him. It feels less like a Trump allegory and more like "this character just thinks Trump's accent is cool".

    The conservative mind can not comprehend conserving anything, or form any political opinion more nuanced than "I hate X group!!"

    You ask a conservative his opinions on the economy, he screams "I hate jews!", you ask a conservative his opinions on healthcare, he screams "I hate trannies!", you ask a conservative his opinion on the school system, he screams "I hate women!", you ask a conservative his opinions on the environment, he screams "I hate soyboys!".

    They are a subhuman people, incapable of rational thought. Their only feeling is hatred, they lack any other emotion that makes one human. Their only thought is hatred, they lack capacity for any higher thought. Truly a repulsive people. What's worse, being unable to understand anything beyond blind hatred, they convince themselves, somehow, that merely hating something is "politics". What incredible shortsightedness, to think mere hate is a "political stance".
