    Aside from people who are just shitposting, when I've seen this seriously argued for, it's typically like, "Idealistically I'm an anarchist, but pragmatically I'm a monarchist". A belief that anarchism is the ideal system in a perfect world, but unviable in practice, and that a very hands off but well meaning monarchy is the best system that has a chance of functioning in reality. I usually see proponents of this kind of thing argue that Tolkien expressed these kinds of views, though I don't know enough about his political views to verify that. Personally, I think that even the view of monarchy they present is wrapped in idealism and unrealistic, even if they believe it's more realistic than the perfect world scenario they believe to be required for anarchism to function.

    don't want to grab a wine glass so I try pouring wine into a ramekin, boyfriend tries telling me not to by saying "if you do this, you'll truly be diogenes pilled, drinking wine out of a bowl". And that convinces me I need to do this. Did he really think that would dissuade me?     have you tried filters to hide posts containing certain terms? it's hard to filter out some of them like ice since it's such a common word in other contexts, but like, 'trump', 'fascist', and 'fascism', etc get a lot of it.

    the difficulty with fedi is that visibility is hard to get, so even when there is a number of people interested in a topic, it's hard to actually have their posts on that topic reach each other. everyones kind of bubbled up. hashtags are basically useless here, search functions are incomplete at best, you've just gotta kind of hope your posts reach their target audience. it's rough. i used to instance hop a lot and fedi's like a completely different place on some instances.
