@Senator_Armstrong @Griffith until governments treat economics like they treated literacy in the 20th century (we need this higher! we're harmed by the lack of it!) instead of like they treated literacy in the 18th century (we need to keep this from growing so fast! we're harmed by it!), any power that develops will eventually develop a Federal Reserve and all the other elements of globalism will appear like demons from a summoning circle. -

@mia @demi26 purely as a practical matter, if you want to kill someone it's not a bad idea to gradually increase your recklessness to the point of killing someone, as by then
1. it's very easy to argue recklessness, rather than intent
2. it's very easy to spread culpability around to the people that didn't put a stop to your recklessness -

@BigTLarrity allow me to explain: these costumes suck because they're deliberately easy to imitate. Hollywood wants cosplayers and is making it easy for them.
This is really an expression of contempt. The people that make this slop, they know it's slop, and they're disgusted by the people that eat it up, and they don't think those people can put in the kind of work that weebs put into cosplay of actually good designs.
They have a deflection: these are superhero designs and older superhero designs were made under the constraints of being easy to conceal and secretly change into (superman changing in a phone booth), and of being based on a simple wrestling disguise (spideman going with a gimmick to try and monetize his radioactive injury). -

@dielan @triodug Mario 2 is OBJECTIVELY good. On every measure of goodness it's good. You fight by uprooting turnips and throwing them. You fight giant rats with cool black sunglasses that throw bombs.
I can appreciate that maybe, since Mario 2's overwhelming superiority is too much for Nintendo fanboys to take, that you like them often forget that it exists and were only speaking of the other games. But the moment you include Mario 2, the average is at least 'good'. -

@Moon are you making any changes to the platform to support this? Media searches, efficient tags, random reposts? Right now the fediverse model is that posts go onto the top of a dirty clothes hamper, and it gets less and less practical to dig into the hamper to find an old post. That seems to only be a good fit for microblogging -
