I guess one plus to all this is that unlike many careers Astrophysics is a job for life, we find new things to study which in turn throw questions about what we know about other aspects of the topic so we have to revisit and refine our knowledge.

Great stuff, this is the sort of innovation we need, these could be great as car windows, can they be made to the same spec as car windows usually need to be made to behave in a certain way during a crash, to avoid very sharp shards of glass being produced

Newspapers such as the dailyfail in the UK are loving all this, rounding up people in the country and deporting them, what they are not reporting is things like this, who else is imacted by the raids. Surely having a group of ICE agents raid a school must be terrifiying for the other children.

With regard to the 'last ice age' according to my local football team head coach who has a degree in Geology, we are still in ice age due to having polar ice caps.

It would be interesting to have that map overlaid with a topological map (if that is the right term) and other information to reflect what the earth looked like back then. Of course it probably took them a long long time to even migrate, given going from I guess sub saharan Africa to modern Day Canada / USA on foot would take a long time.

Agreed, so why in the very week we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz do we have Donald Trump removing people from the USA by force, and suggesting the people of Gaza should be relocated to Jordan and Egypt, with the government of Israel jumping for joy with glee at the very suggestion as they want that so they can move in for themselves.

We need to stand up to this, we are all human and can live side by side.
