I decided to bite the bullet last night: try to learn how to take photos of the #Aurora
I use lots of settings on my camera, but mostly choosing focus points and adjusting light sensitivity and amount of light- but it's more like choose the effect and camera does the actual settings of aperture and shutter speed! (more in replies)
So- not great quality, but they give some idea. The camera sees much stronger colours than the eye- I toned them down but still not quite true #photography #Alberta

@susankayequinn @seanbala @solarpunkpresents I think it's all interesting and useful, but I'll probably just keep my eyes open for other labels, or none at all..lol

@seanbala @jendiagammon yeah, I was initially excited by the idea of solarpunk, but realised it doesn't quite fit my interests- I'm less interested in a concrete future than slightly different realities, less focus on technology etc- so I'll basically just stay away from the label since defenders seem pretty high-strung...lol

totally random #drawing last night, #ColouredPencil #OilPastel quick and rough-- inspried by the odd shadow my head was casting on the keyboard.. "I Can't See the Back of My Head".. not worth much, but it was fun to do after not doing much drawing lately! the physical process of applying the marks to #paper is a huge part of the appeal for me ( a few high end oil pastels in there- oh my! the joy).. I may do a better version.. any thoughts on what it could mean? #MastoArt #MakingArt
