Miso and Coffee?! O_o
I am intrigued.
I do love adding spices to coffee like cardamom and cinnamon but directly I into the grounds.
Have you ever had Cafe de Olla? It is Mexican masala coffee that is awesome!

Bragging about #Linux feels like the most #Fediverse thing you can do.... About two weeks ago, I got around to updating @fedora on my @frameworkcomputer. I tried doing it through the Software app but the update would not work. So I did the Linux thing and updated through the Terminal instead. I'm really new to #Linux and I can't get over just how empowering it was to able to do this myself without being dependent on the whims of any company fix a problem.
@scott @agnes @fastmail
Thanks for your comment. I agree with many of your sentiments regarding FM. It is very good but there are a few things that give me pause from going all-in on them. I hesitate using it for anything beyond newsletters and shopping stuff.
Your point about the calendars sounds about right.
One other one that have been really liking is @runbox. I might have gone with them first if I had not paid for the year of FM already.
My work around is that my calendars are in Posteo (personal and family) and Mailbox.org (professional). I share those to my Fastmail and edit them there. Not elegant but it works. Posteo is a great, simple service (only 12 Euros a year) for basic mail.

I tried out Startmail but just felt like it was not worth the money. I canceled it before I ended the trial. I have been using Fastmail and I really like it. It is really polished and reliable. The calendar is great. I use it as the central hub for all my calendars online. But I don't use their calendar because I can't create a shared it with non-Fastmail users.

P.S. - if you've never watched this, you might really enjoy it:
@agnes I swear on a stack of Bibles that I was walking to Aldi this evening (before I saw this post) and saw the Progressive Pride flag and thought the SAME exact thing. I've always disliked it and for the reason you pointed out. Like the people who use Latinx at my former office, it seems like something that appeals mainly to progressive white people.
Continued with the keeping hands busy project, and finished the big flower apart from the beads and whatever I may still want to still put on there... Half finished the little one apart from the edge finish. The little flower looks a bit too different, but I'm telling myself not to unpick and redo it, since it's just a needle case. 😄 Today I might attempt some leaves and vines.
@susankayequinn Temu Princess 😂
I find it interesting that being "trans sceptical" has become the shibboleth for "reasonableness" among a certain set of elites. Does not surprise me that the NYT is going down this road. Most media is a conversation among narrow group who think they are VIPs.
@potterybyosa This is a really interesting point I had not thought about between Florida and Virginia. Thank you for sharing!
@evan I always come up to the point that I have to work with the world I have now, not my hypothetical one. The US really only has two parties. They are big coalitions. Do I wish there were more? Certainly but not with our current first past the post system. I would probably be in a Green Party a different system. But the US Green Party here is full of kooks and cranks that do no true local organizing, which would give them roots. They only seem to pop up in presidental years.
Seconded. This is such a wonderful book. I have always thought that it would make a good limited series.
I also recommend her book "Castle: The Origins of Our Discontent."
@Anarchy_How I used to teach this in my Big Ideas class in India. The idea was to get students to think about two variables and how they can interact to create outcomes. Went over very well!

@felixandoscar1 I am so sorry - big hugs to everyone!

I’m sorry - I realize that my response was meant to be more tongue-in-cheek. I was impressed that you wrote something so fast! Now it makes sense that it was a long gestating set of ideas. One problem of social media is that a person can like sounding clever.
I completely get where you are coming from - I like the idea of highlighting lines so we can think about the clearly. Will take a deeper look later.
@witchescauldron @cubicgarden @_elena
I am sorry but did you basically write a hot take on a post made less than an hour ago? O_o
@cubicgarden And guess what everybody - he’s single! 🤣
I genuinely love this idea. I think more professions should have it.
