   Happy Juneteenth! (which I did not know existed until recent memory... probably right before it was declared a holiday. I grew up in a 95%+ white state.... where Juneteenth did not exist). Any good websites/videos on Juneteenth out there, speaking of which?

     a few years ago i decided to read The Warmth of Other Suns by Isaebl Wilkerson for Juneteenth and it was amazing. (i'd also go on to read Caste, another great book she wrote about race in the US)

     highly recommend (both)

     Other Suns is not about Juneteenth, but about the Black Migration in the US

     i learned so much from that book.

     Seconded. This is such a wonderful book. I have always thought that it would make a good limited series.

     I also recommend her book "Castle: The Origins of Our Discontent."
