aurora borealis like a giant sideways donut in the sky, seen almost end on with rays coming out toward the left and amorphous light coming out the right. All pale green, mostly bright light. A bit of a an orangey poplar tree seen at bottom left.

   I decided to bite the bullet last night: try to learn how to take photos of the #Aurora
   I use lots of settings on my camera, but mostly choosing focus points and adjusting light sensitivity and amount of light- but it's more like choose the effect and camera does the actual settings of aperture and shutter speed! (more in replies)
   So- not great quality, but they give some idea. The camera sees much stronger colours than the eye- I toned them down but still not quite true #photography #Alberta
