This is a view from the car, looking across a grassy ditch then a wire and post fence (under the fence the grass is longer, coarse, deep gold) then a pasture with golden dried grass and many small seedlings of spruce (and, I think, Tamarack, can't believe I can't remember, right now..lol) from the large dense stand of trees farther back. The trees are densely coated with frost so that they appear silvery white most of the way down, bottoms are a bit darker. I think it's a mix of spruce and tamarack- funny that I can't remember right now though I pass this place all the time-it tells you how thick the frost is that is not easy to tell if there are tamaracks /larches in there with no needles! The sky above is clear blue.
