"My understanding was that I would be the executive chef of BLT Steak in Las Vegas. When I got there, it was mostly they wanted me to... be on the floor. They didn't want me in the kitchen. They wanted me just to, like, take pictures and kiss babies and that kind of thing, and I'm like, 'No, I'm a chef.' And they're like, 'No. You're paid talent. Go take a f---ing picture."

For #MusicWomenWednesday this week, I'm feeling like I need to highlight the 'riot grrrls' of rock. Particularly the band L7, the SUBPOP ladies who refused to stay quiet and 'know their place.' ♀️

The song 'SHOVE' is the perfect example of the type of message they were trying to send to the shitty men in the industry. 'Get out of my way or I'm gonna shove' 🤬

No, I feel like we need to talk about this. Sam Hargrave is shaping up to be a GREAT action director and the story of 'SHINOBI' is so open to interpretation that the formula is perfect for his style. If you loved 'EXTRACTION' like I did, then you know much FUN a ninja movie would be with Hargrave at the helm. 😎

To be honest, I've always been unsure of this one. Is the problem that guys reply, or is it the way they reply? Like, obviously this is a public forum, and if you put something out there you have to expect it to be replied to. So, is it like 'mansplaining' where someone comes in to contradict?

The #TuneTuesday theme this week is #MusiciansWhoLoveOtherMusicians - songs honoring creative influences or peers.

The first song that comes to mind is the most tragic story of a man 'shooting his shot' and striking out. That is, writing a song about a woman and she's like.. uhh 👍

The song 'Meg White' by Ray Lamontagne is about the rummer for The White Stripes and how ... swell she is.

White's response was... 'it was sweet.' 😬
