You mean to tell me that David Pastanark got into a fight last night and not one person in the timeline broke it the words #FoodFight !!? What are we doing here #HNOM
@skyfaller@travissouthard would love to know if you end up on something else. I have been sticking to manually checking weather.com since my calendar widget lost Dark Sky API access
@grimalkina thinking about my experiences (in startups) and my wife's experiences (in academia) and yeah they're probably more similar than I think we realized
In the official Mastodon app for Android is there a way to filter posts based on languages? I follow a bot that does reposts and I love it on my small instance but I just don't speak Finnish. I would love to filter those posts out of my timeline.
(If this is a feature some other clients have I would love to know that too!)
@hockey as bummed as I am that Flyers no 1 best reporter isn't at The Athletic anymore I do like that a bunch of the articles aren't paywalled so the links can be shared.
Extremely on brand for the #Flyers brand to lose their only good (by the numbers) defense pair to trades and injury then go out and beat the best team in hockey. Absolutely chaos franchise.
Somehow they are still in playoff position even going 4-4-2 in their last 10 games.
Sucks to hear that Ristolainen is so sick somewhere on Ellis Island for the Flyers. It's arguably good because that means more for the kids but I would love to see if he could have replicated last years success with the #Flyers
@lrhodes@lmorchard I don't know enough about their protocol, is having large indexing servers the trade-off for small "user servers" or is it the goal (is for data harvesting)?
@macmsp@judah@nfl that's hearing to see. I feel like it's easy to miss the followups to these stupid things. Everybody feels the need to write about the initial incidents but then the nature of the cycle means that not everyone covers the response.
@macmsp@judah@nfl I was under the impression that only Reid apologized after seeing the replay when asked about it during the week. If that's wrong (which I always sort of hoped) then it's my mistake.
@macmsp@judah@nfl if you want to talk about losing respect for a player let's judge them on how they handle the incident afterwards. I lost more respect for Patrick Mahomes tirade at the refs for the correct offside call in the Buffalo game than I did for Kelce's actions at the Super Bowl. Kelce's actions might be worse but at least he owned up and accepted that
@macmsp@judah@nfl I have more patience for the player's momentary lapse of judgement than I do for the predictable outrage folks have that a person who we just asked to participate in a violent sport couldn't immediately turn off the adrenaline after they cross a sideline.
