well, the storms weren't supposed to hit for another hour, but its been storming for a full hour already. the thunder is LOUD here. no way to sleep through it. i'm so hoping the thunder ain't this loud all day.

something i love doing is going on google maps and using street view to explore cities i've never been to or haven't in a long time. then, if i see a place that looks interesting, look up pictures of the inside and youtube videos of it. today been exploring ottawa. last week, like often, detroit. a few weeks ago, i was checking out places listed in the peter grant series in london.

sometimes i just genuinely hate talking, like, i just straight up do not want to talk. talking sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable. in those moments, like, this evening, i wish i knew asl and my family did too just so i wouldn't have to speak. i hate being expected to talk. wish i could just go between signing and talking, depending what i felt comfortable doing. sometimes my hatred of talking gets so bad i wish i had been born without the ability to speak.

i haven't read "the hunger games" books in 10 years when i was a junior in high school (good lord i'm getting old), but ngl, i actually think i appreciate them now more than i did back then. now that i'm a writer i find myself appreciating the actual writing much more.
