@zorn that sucks. One thing I would always tell folks when I worked retail was to never buy Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday if they could help it bc the weekly sales cadence usually starts Thursday. It's probably not true for all categories but a helpful rule of thumb.
@CityHoosier I believe that one was called back under rule 138 clause F. "A goalie may be deemed interfered with if a goal would get in the way of the predominant narrative about a team. Special consideration will be given to narratives of contending teams"
I'm not watching this game (listening on 97.5) but he was excellent to watch the first game. He really took off in the third period, he's gonna be good. Its kind of funny/depressing that he's playing in his first game and it looked like he was too quick for his teammates
haha of course. I post and then the #Flyers take a penalty. You have to figure that Edmonton won't be winless forever, especially after the way they started last year. So I figure they either end up getting curb stomped, or they ride the #Oilers apparently traditional slow start
Well I'll be damned. #Flyers up 2-0 on the #Oilers on the back of two(!!) Matvei Michkov power play goals. Not a bad start for his third game in the NHL. He's been very close but his teammates keep flubbing passes he should have at least 3 more points already.
Pretty cool story about coaches working their way to the ranks of different leagues to the #NHL. Its pretty crazy to think one ECHL team was lead for this long by folks who went on to coach in the big league!
@davidtoddmccarty its become a lot more common over the last decade. Goalies have gotten better so the floor for the position has increased which means that there's a lot more "good enough" goalies. That and supposedly the sports science says to give them more rest between games.
