@olmitch Would recommend Arch if you cam be bothered with the install process. Or even install Manjaro then disable all their repos and replace them with the Arch omes to skip the manual install. It's definitely the best when it comes to software availability and packaging.

That said, I use gentoo because I'm a huge dork. Wouldn't necessarily recommemd it though.

@fernand0 Great article but I'd heartily recommend every linux user try installing gentoo themselves at least once. It's easier than ever these days with the precompiled packages like the kernel, firefox and rust which used to take a very long time on old hardware. (Kernel also required a lot of configuration to match your hardware.)

Dude decapitated in central Edinburgh last weekend.

News sources say this poor gentleman had passed out in the street, then got decapitated by a passing coach which pulled his head off via the wheel arch.

Uncensored images of both the head and the headless corpse are doing the rounds on socials. CCTV footage shows group of drunk people who play with the head, and then one of their party "teabagging" it. In their defence I reckon they thought it wae a halloween prop.

@coolboymew Yeah having no debts lowers your credit score because the credit/loans companies want to get dopes who pick up a lot of credit without thinking.

@lain HG Wells' _The Sleeper Awakes_ basically has this premise. Protagonist is cryogenically frozen and awakens in the future to find a religion based around him and the enormous wealth generated by his compound interest.

@cda Despite being a heavy emacs user I have always been very familiar with the CLI for git, so often that is faster for me if I know what changes I'm making. However, the longer I spend with magit the better it gets; still discovering new features. I think I have room in my heart for both magit and the CLI.
