True. Still, the meaning of labels change over the years. The first group of people who nominated Lincoln, republicans, would not be called "conservative" in this day and age.

The fight back on this, imo, is not about how stereotypical people grouped under a label may be but, instead, it's about not using the labels that divide us when we need togetherness.

I'm seething and unsure what to do about this. A friend, someone I've known for years, just said some of the most racist shit I've ever heard. And he then says "it's science." I said, "it's eugenics."

Conversation got bad and heated to the point I almost walked out. But I'm absolutely flabbergasted that people still say this shit, nevermind believe it's science.
