I think also what's happening is that everything that could be said was said a 1000 times over, and people still could not bring themselves to challenge the status quo. I think people are also afraid. I thought I left a dictatorship, only to get stuck in another kind of dictatorship (i.e. the zionist west).
"More than 50 countries have signed a letter urging the #UN Security Council and General Assembly to take immediate steps to halt arms sales to #Israel.
The letter accuses the Israeli government of not doing enough to protect the lives of civilians during its assault on #Gaza."
#Israel erased most, if not all, historical and cultural sites in #Gaza, #ISIS style. They destroyed one such site today in #Lebanon as well.
Given this is how colonization works, I could only wonder what was erased from the collective and cultural memory of the indigenous people of North America.
I don't understand the appeal that #Genocide has for #Germany. They just can't help it. They have to be involved in one way or another in some of the most horrific genocides known to humanity.
"Civilian locations can lose their protected status because terrorists exploit that," this monster said, parroting Israeli #hasbara, while failing to cite evidence to said exploitation.
That would be true if the majority of a population (at least in electoral sense) make stopping a genocide their #1 electoral issue. But that's not the case in the West.
Also the political elites are NOT conducting themselves as "public servants" when they demonize protestors. They are behaving like authoritarian rulers.
Democracy is so overrated. See in the US where public opinion is manipulated easily by using the boogeyman card (i.e. Trump).
I'm afraid that tooting, posting, protesting, and signing petitions are not working at all in making a dent in the policies that the monstrous ruling class is adopting towards genocidal Israel.
We have to organise on a much more effective level. Are there legal venues that could be pursued to exert pressure on the ruling class? By legal, I mean something like suing people in positions of power. I would be willing to contribute within my means to the expenses of lawyers.
And now #JoeBiden (aka #GenocideJoe) is upholding the the legacy of that monster, and the many monsters who came after him, by visiting #genocide on the indigenous people of #Palestine. It's in their blood.
Could someone check on the #ICJ and the #ICC? Did they vanish or something? There's no word from them in a while, as if we're living in peaceful times.
Daily massacres while you're distracted by pathetic debates between monstrous candidates:
"#Israel’s military bombed the #UN-operated al-Jaouni school in central #Gaza, killing at least 18 people. Witnesses say 'women and children were blown to pieces' in the assault.
Six of the victims were #UNRWA staff, including the manager of the shelter. The agency said it was the highest death toll for its staff in a single incident in the 11-month war."
It looks like the COVID pandemic completely erased basic #metro etiquette in #Montreal. Now folks rush into the subway train cars before waiting for passengers to exit. Annoying!
This is the bomb that #Israel dropped on displaced Palestinians in #Gaza's #AlMawassi camp to allegedly kill one #Hamas leader (the real reason is to stall the #ceasefire negotiations). It ended up killing 90 people and maiming hundreds.
Just someone trying to make sense of the world, and to find a place in it. Currently, I am making a stop in Montreal, Canada, for the foreseeable future. Here, I will mainly follow people who share similar humanitarian causes, and I will occasionally share my thoughts on related world events.
