I'm watching #Germany. And it makes me sad for a lot of reasons. What I regret very much here in the #fediverse is that whenever some nice people talk about their fears for certain groups in Germany if the right wing gets to govern - they name foreigners, queers, jews, sometimes disabled - but you know for whom none has a single thought? Us muslims. And I am afraid most of them would not stand up once mosques get closed, hijabis discriminated, prayers damned, ppl forced to eat in Ramadan. #Islam
Can you stand reading it? I hardly quote numbers anymore, because I know as high as they are they don't show the reality - you cannot count the dead anymore, neither even mourn them properly.
@gee8sh You've got a point with both of your arguments. Sometimes I also feel how useless it is what I'm doing here - but people in Gaza ask us not to stop publishing whatever news get out, even if it is the same every day, more deaths, more suffering, more hunger.
@gee8sh I noticed, I'm not sure if not one reason is that less and less voices out of Gaza can still be heared. I lost a lot of them by closing my Twitter account, trying to follow who I can here, but the silence some days is deafening. This said, please, whoever gets news, post them, I boost what I see.
Ok, friends ... looks like I have a lot of work in the coming weeks. One thing is that I need to get away from google, wordpress, too, unfortunately, and, last but not least, Microsoft. I already have a good new email account, just have to monitor my gmail until everybody important got the new one and change a lot of emails on services. I need an alternative for WP - any advice? A simple, reliable blogging platform that everyone can read without login.
Yesterday our niece in Gaza told us (for once she got a phone connection) that they were already surrounded by tanks - somewhere in the south, they have been changing their location continously. This morning in the news we heared that area was bombed heavily during the night. Waiting for news. Waiting for: we're alive.
