@freemo True. But there are reasons that justify this petition. And here, in Portugal, we've had several cases that prove that such legislation is necessary.

I also think that we need fairer societies in which the difference between the rich and the poor decreases.

One of these days I was feeding my cat and thinking that I spend more money with his food than what millions of parents have to feed their kids. This is utterly unfair, IMHO. But it's our reality. No one solves the problem and the situation is getting worse... And people are dying because they don't have access to basic goods. It's just sad!

@freemo Yes, of course we can disagree. 😉 The fact is that there are always some examples of big corporations being exposed that almost don't contribute anything but have huge profits. Here in Portugal we're sick and tired of them!

I've joined kolektiva.social because I was hoping to find a community where we would be able to talk about anarchy and share our thoughts on the subject. So far, I'm been feeling a bit let down because I haven't succeeded in having true conversations on the subject. So, I decided to try to launch a dialogue starting from a simple question:

What attracted you to #anarchy or #anarchism?

For me, the ideals of community, respect for the individual, self-improvement, equality, responsibility, order... were some of the main basic principles that attracted me the most.

What about you?

@anarchopunk_girl I'm OK, too. I am recovering from a mole extraction on my right foot and waiting to return to school so as to help my students learn some more English.

Sorry to bother you, but I feel I have to say this: I've joined this instance in order to find and interact with like-minded people. I find it strange that no one welcomed me after two short introductions that I made. The anarchist values tell me that it should be otherwise. Am I wrong? Aren't we here to build a community, to build a better world?
