I noticed I have a tendency to do that 30 yrs ago, but I thought it was just me….

Yesterday I thought I saw a woodpecker on our pear tree, but it flew away almost as soon as I noticed it. Today it was back, with family. There were 3 on the tree at one point ; 2 adults and a youngster - but one adult flew away when I went outside with my camera. I was lucky to get photos of the other 2. I will be waiting for them to return....

Torties are ‘interesting’.
Hubby’s tortie liked to beat up any dog she saw passing the gate - she eventually accepted my dog was an exception to her rule, but never missed an opportunity to bop her (even when the poor dog was sleeping).
My last tortie loved dogs, but would attack humans. I lost count of the times she boxed my ears bc I displeased her! Visitors who sat in the garden on summer days would yelp as she wandered nonchalantly under the canvas chair & jabbed up, claws extended. (She loved it & we didn’t have the heart to spoil her fun! 🤣 )

President Zelenskyy should pause signing that deal with USA.

President Zelenskyy came across as being very restrained under severe provocation.
Trump & Vance came across as petty little men, trying to look big. I suspect the Tass ‘propaganda merchant’ had been smuggled in to film President Zelenskyy being forced to capitulate, which did not happen- so Trump failed all round & then threw his toys out of the pram in full public view.

Trump has NO idea how to be presidential. He’s shown himself up as a bully in front of the world.
President Zelensky is fighting for his country’s future & independence. He deserves to be treated with respect & as an equal.

On Nov 5th we in UK traditionally burn effigies of the guy who plotted to blow up Parliament (& failed).
I hope you defeat your plotter on Nov 5th too. It's time he was consigned to the past.

I just went out in the garden to persuade Laurie that he wanted to come in for the night (he agreed that cheese would be a very acceptable bribe) & realised that my 2 favourite roses have burst into full flower recently, while I haven’t been paying attention. They are positively ‘dripping’ with blooms. They always catch me by surprise with a sudden display of flowers.
Both are strongly scented. One has a very sweet scent, & the other smells more of summer fruits. The combination is amazing. I love scented roses.

Perhaps the term 'supernormal' would be preferable to 'supernatural'?

I suspect that 'higher beings' (to use your blurry term) are smarter than us & more advanced than us.
It seems to me that any being that was sufficiently far advanced to boggle the minds of our distant ancestors would be seen as a 'god'.

We think we know a lot, but there is so much more for us to discover & understand. We occupy just a small corner of our universe, & of Reality.

We do realise it. I have always known that to Meggie I’m the ‘spare’ (the O F in her BOGOF deal) . She chose hubby & got both of us. She makes sure that I know my place.
