Finished my first gunpla since getting out of the hospital. I was having fine motor control issues at first and I don't know if this helped or I would have recovered it anyway but I feel like it was a good project. This is the Efreet Nacht, a video-game-only suit
If I've set this up right, this should be posting right about when they begin surgery. If you're seeing this, I have two things I want to ask of you.
1. Please contribute (if you can) and share this link far and wide. https://gofund.me/58bd389f6 The pace has been wonderful but it's slowing, and I'd love to wake up to some significant movement on it
2. Please respond to this post with your pet photos, or just something that made you laugh. Again, I'd love to wake up to a bunch of messages.
Thanks for everything you've done for me so far. I love you all.
@futurebird the great thing about killing drug dealers instead of apprehending them is no awkward conversation about "we aren't drug dealers, we're fishing, please note all these fish and absolutely zero drugs apart from Jorge's cigs"
Like I genuinely believe the no survivors policy is because they know they're killing innocent people and don't want to leave any witnesses
Delighted to see that, after hard coding a fix to keep the lie machine from lying to you about something as easily checked as the date, Google has backslid
So I'm up past my bedtime because, as I was drifting off to sleep, some motherfucker threw a fist size rock at my windshield and now I'm waiting for the sheriffs because I have to file a police report for my company, and as far as I can tell I'm an hour away from their nearest office
They at least had someone only half an hour away. Because I was literally in bed almost asleep, by the time I got up and got pants and shoes on they were long gone. And the first thing I did was ask the truck stop if they had cameras, but they only have them pointed at the pumps, not parking. So I don't think there's any likelihood anyone will get arrested
But I'm not financially liable for any of this, so honestly I'm only mad because I have to sit up til the ungodly hour of 11pm on the phone with my company. Guess I'm not starting at 5 am
Hahaha I am so out in the middle of nowhere that this is going to be a serious pain in the ass. I am 200 miles from the nearest people who could fix it and maintenance confirmed it is not drivable in the slightest. I am probably going to have to leave the trailer here for someone else to deliver and get towed and it's likely to take multiple days to resolve this
Good thing is that the overnight guy seemed a bit more overwhelmed by the problem than day shift is. They aren't going to make me leave the trailer (which would create more problems, I have this one semi-permanently instead of swapping regularly, so I would then have to go get another one), they're either going to tow the whole unit or get someone out here. Still probably not going anywhere all day today but the two to four days night shift thought I was looking at seems maybe overcautious
Rolling again. Not too far, just an hour or so because I want to keep my daylight driving schedule, but spending another night where I got vandalized seems inadvisable
Lol guess who just got fucked up in a truck stop without cameras again
This time the truck parked next to me pulled out and obliterated the front quarter of mine. Hood, bumper, side mirror, headlight, destroyed. They didn't stop, and since there weren't any cameras pointed out here, it remains to be seen if their gamble pays off. If they left past the fuel island they might still be captured, plenty of cameras over there to make sure no one steals diesel. But who gives a shit about the parking area, let the drivers figure it out and administer their own justice, I guess.
I have recently been advised that "two nickels" is annoyingly played out, but really, it IS weird that it happened twice, within a week, after three years of driving and zero such instances before
