@RustyCrab @Suiseiseki That can partly be alleviated with https://blog.rust-lang.org/2023/11/09/parallel-rustc/ but it also sounds like you haven't tried swapping out the linked for lld. Ultimately, slow compilation is just a trade-off I accept given that the compiler is performing tasks that in other languages would be offloaded to possibly even slower external linters and static analysis tools.

@Suiseiseki @RustyCrab Not even remotely typical. FFI looks ugly in nearly every language and this example is contrived - calling printf lmao. Still, I have no problem reading it. Surely you have something besides disingenuous arguments?

How do people tolerate xitter? I made a burner to shitpost and 50% of the time it blocks me from even making a post, then another 30% of the time it silently swallows up and deletes whatever I just posted.
It's unequivocally far worse than I ever remember it being under Jack.

@Suiseiseki How do the new Intel graphics cards compare to AMD in terms of their drivers' freeness? I believe that both require proprietary blobs.

Have to fight the urge to blog about IRL shit nobody cares about nor benefits from reading.
Anyway, meet my new roommate.

Do good docking stations with KVM switch exist? I use at least 3 different computers for different purposes on a regular (daily) basis, and I'd like to at least be able to switch smoothly at least my work laptop and my home desktop.
Everywhere I look, I see complaints about KVM switches having issues especially with hot-plugging. I usually trust Anker but even they have negative reviews about this exact issue. Is there some fundamental problem that makes all KVM switches bad?
