(But systematically it has a drastically differential effect on women's access.)

It's my kid, my kid has been in the hospital for two weeks and got out today. Has a couple more weeks of daily treatment but at least can be home now.

I am fried past exhaustion, feel like I have a hangover just from running nonstop for weeks. While still working and running everything. I was up past 3am trying to get everything taken care of last night. Now trying to get things taken care of tonight and then do it all again tomorrow.

But VERY grateful to have them back home.

So as a result I have been unable to keep abreast of news of either the hurricane OR the debate as I normally would. I will have to catch up today!

Okay I'm working today so I can't even catch up properly, but what I'm getting is, Francine has not yet made landfall, and the orange smear got wiped across the floor last night.

Food prep for the week: slow cooking the obligatory thyme and paprika chicken thighs, veggies are cooking for veg puree, chili is simmering, and about to make a chicken and squash curry.

Now it smells like jasmine rice, every vegetable, and every spice in here! 😆

I have chopped about five pounds of onions alone today. Which may not be a lot to some, but this is just for two people! 😆

I am bummed that even if I suddenly became independently wealthy and could spend every second wandering, there is no way I could live long enough to become intimately familiar with every forest, river, mountain, lake.

Yes I'm afraid this is the case given what I see with my therapy clients.

Because I do all telehealth, I am in a unique position. I see people when they are staying home sick. Their friends and coworkers are not seeing them. And they usually are NOT going around telling people what has been going on.

Most of the people they know do NOT know they are sick at all, let alone to what extent. Including hospital and doctor visits and medications.
