Omg, virtue rewarded! Seriously blown away. See the paper cutting piece in this photo? My brother John made it for his nephew my son Drew. Found mostly intact-likely 25 years saved, in an old file box I’ve kept with maybe 8 others from the late 90’s. And moved. Moved about 8 times between 5 states. Unopened but for maybe a peek a few times, never gone through. Precious because my son Drew at that time cut paper snowflakes that intricate. Before his hands lost dexterity and Uncle John blind.

I lived through Vietnam War that tore apart my generation. Then Iraq War 1 with Senior Bush. Then Iraq War 2 with Junior. @AnthonyJK such a beautiful area you live in! I used to travel through several times for business. With so many repeated storms over the last 20 years it’s hard to imagine how homes can remain intact. And the storms are increased in severity over the last 20 years, right?

I read the short story by @pluralistic after I read his 12/9 /24 post on his website. Since he let the Prospect publish his short story Radicalized I did follow his link and read it. Didn’t take long and it was heart-pounding intense. And believable. Taking place in Arizona, it’s even more believable. To be clear, I posted this so other friends and folks in other US states are aware just how out-of-control the Arizona school vouchers have endangered the public schools. This Roosevelt school district is about 5 square miles. That quote is from the school board president. 29 CHARTER SCHOOLS AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS in this school district. Because the GOP here wants to destroy public schools. Every voucher used immediately takes that amount per student OUT of the public school funding.

Anyone recall I was complaining of coffee oil stains on my percolator? Ran down some rabbit holes from tips shared. I've now ordered a bag of Sodium Percarbonate. Likely soon I'll get the Soda Ash; after that on to oxalic acid. Tricky to read the product info to make sure to get the best value and premium product. Also noted: use a TINY amount of each of these and rinse rinse rinse well. Shocking to me that these basics are so so co-opted as brands in the US
