If you're not in the #evacuation situation, you offer support where you can, but it's best not to judge their decisions.

It's incredibly hard to move 23 MILLION people.

Some people will die if they are moved. Some people are living paycheck to paycheck and don't have thousands of dollars to evacuate. Some people don't have a car.

You may see people talking cavalierly, but you don't know what their real feelings are (whether that's how they cope with powerlessness).

The three segments of The Hobbit completed today. Damn, what a bunch of tear-jerkery!

Tomorrow, the original trilogy. 🧝🏻♀️

In continuation of my annual September LOTR marathon, beginning the day with coffee and The Fellowship of the Ring 🧙🏼♂️

Finished the original LOTR movie trilogy last weekend and throughout the week re-watched Season 1 of the Rings of Power. Started the new season today!

I crammed in SO many tasks and errands to secure a day off tomorrow for vaccine recuperation. I got three tonight. Three.

Found #Novavax nearby! 🎉 Also got flu shot. AND they already had the Mpox vax so I got that, too.

Unlike many in my generation I never had the smallpox vaccine so I didn't even have residual immunity from that.

My kid is not old enough for #Mpox (you must be--not 18, but 19!) so they only had two. Still, I am feeling okay so far while they are already sore.

And yes, it really was #Novavax.

Apparently the CVS system can default to Moderna even if you select Novavax in the online scheduling, but our pharmacist was on top of it. (Despite how overworked and understaffed the pharmacy is, every pharmacy is.)

Also I was right there while he was looking at the box next to me and filling out our vaccine cards.

I bet I am the only person still having my Covid vaccine card filled out with each one I take 🤔
