One thing is clear about the US elections: if the Democrats do not win with an overwhelming majority, there will be countless frivolous lawsuits, stolen election campaigns and, quite possibly, another January 6 action.
It's going to be interesting to see two things in the States over the coming months:
How the electorate react to the idea of a woman President;
How the GOP and MSN treat the candidacy of a potential woman President.
I suspect, from the latter, there will be a great deal of abuse.
Trump is in a witness protection program in your building?
It is blocking the road, that's not just a pavement, it's also a driveway.
@jon @forteller fire engine entrance? That looks like a supermarket carpark.
The chances of them having to give all the money back are incredibly small. These people, even when thrown under a bus, stand up for each other.
No, they won't get gaol time. A fine, a bad name, nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
It's that time of year when we need to remember those who are alone, lonely, or need a comforting voice.
The hashtag #JoinIn is up and running again. I'm following it, and will answer and chat whenever I am on line.
Care to join me? Make someone's Christmas time better.

Am I a bit out of touch if I admit to never having heard of it?
There you go, condemning many of the greatest writers of our past. Longfellow anyone? So many happily quoted in Latin, or Greek, even French, rarely German, without a care, and without footnote translations.
Wouldn't it be fun if someone just saw a sentence in a foreign language and thought: what does that even mean? I think I'll find out.
But what about writing the one sentence in only one language? Is that not impolite to those who do not read that language, but can read the other? 😀
Prisons in the UK no longer meet EU standards, according to a judgment in a German court, and prisoners cannot be extradited according to EU law.
Whether other EU courts will agree with this remains to be seen.
I travel a great deal, but mainly commute to work on the 05.17 from Bremen each week day. I read heavy books, collect old photographs, and write long letters. My working clothes are kilts, but I do own one pair of jeans. This is a small, occasional record of those travels by train and bus, of books read and letters written, and sometimes the events in between.
