As an Australian, during this election round I've been learning some horrifying facts about the lack of anonymity at various points of your electoral process.

I'm serious asking, can husbands learn how their wives (or any partner relationship) vote?

This article could have been written about children with ME/CFS any time in the last century.

About 10 years ago I went to the funeral of a young man who had taken his own life after suffering ME/CFS since adolescence.

This is a serious illness and it does cause death.

We also know what causes the majority ME/CFS cases. They are typically caused by a prior viral infection. It really doesn't matter which.

Do you know the previous SARS outbreak similarly caused post-viral syndrome illness?

Experts should have known or at least listened to everyone with ME/CFS who knew this was coming.

In Australia (and presumably the UK) diphenhydramine is referred to as a first generation antihistamine. It's been largely replaced by those other ones like cetirizine.

Yeah, diphenhydramine is available as a sleep aid because of the drowsiness side effect.

“Nothing happens by accident,” said another source. “When a 3-year-old girl is killed in a home in Gaza, it’s because someone in the army decided it wasn’t a big deal for her to be killed — that it was a price worth paying in order to hit [another] target. We are not Hamas. These are not random rockets. Everything is intentional. We know exactly how much collateral damage there is in every home.”

Another source said that a senior intelligence officer told his officers after October 7 that the goal was to “kill as many Hamas operatives as possible,” for which the criteria around harming Palestinian civilians were significantly relaxed. As such, there are “cases in which we shell based on a wide cellular pinpointing of where the target is, killing civilians. This is often done to save time, instead of doing a little more work to get a more accurate pinpointing,” said the source.

According to the Government Media Office in Gaza — which has been providing death tolls since the Gaza Health Ministry stopped doing so on Nov. 11 due to the collapse of health services in the Strip — by the time the temporary ceasefire took hold on Nov. 23, Israel had killed 14,800 Palestinians in Gaza; approximately 6,000 of them were children and 4,000 were women, who together constitute more than 67 percent of the total. The figures provided by the Health Ministry and the Government Media Office — both of which fall under the auspices of the Hamas government — do not deviate significantly from Israeli estimates.

Tishler, the air force chief of staff, confirmed a shift in policy, telling reporters that the army’s “roof knocking” policy — whereby it would fire a small initial strike on the roof of a building to warn residents that it is about to be struck — is no longer in use “where there is an enemy.” Roof knocking, Tishler said, is “a term that is relevant to rounds [of fighting] and not to war.”

On Oct. 25, the 12-story Al-Taj residential building in Gaza City was bombed to the ground, killing the families living inside it without warning. About 120 people were buried under the ruins of their apartments, according to the testimonies of residents. Yousef Amar Sharaf, a resident of Al-Taj, wrote on X that 37 of his family members who lived in the building were killed in the attack: “My dear father and mother, my beloved wife, my sons, and most of my brothers and their families.” Residents stated that a lot of bombs were dropped, damaging and destroying apartments in nearby buildings too.

This is a report from an Israeli publication.

    Did you read the article?

Falling upon Occam's razor during a war is naive at best.

The IDF does indeed intentionally kill civilians in what they term "power targets".

The IDF has destroyed or damaged approx 60% of the accommodation in Gaza.

As stated in that +972 article, including "power targets" such as universities, banks, government buildings.

Perhaps you're seeing the sanitised version of the war?

The rest of the world is seeing something far more horrifying.

Meanwhile, if you really think this war is going to truly defeat Hamas, you really need to look to the US, UK, and co. experience in Afghanistan and how defeating the Taliban worked out for them.
