@djsumdog @Nazareno One small point. #Russia is not conscripting anyone for fighting. The Russian standard of one year military draft for males over 18 is the same in Switzerland and many other countries. (Exemptions for Uni students are the same too). Soldiers fighting in Ukraine are either volunteers or on short-term contracts. This makes sense - draftees can perform a lot of the non-combat duties required for any army, leaving better trained and motivated soldiers to do the actual fighting.

@faab64 @palestine @israel @mondoweiss I wish it was only 40% of Israelis who are fascist psychopaths. This survey from Tel Aviv Uni (late Oct last year) suggests a much greater proportion of Israelis approve of #genocide.

I have recently posted here that #Netanyahu is irrelevant - he is merely a symptom of the underlying disease, of #Zionism, of settler-colonialism, and getting rid of him will make no difference to the continuing oppression and murder of Palestinians by #Israel.

The agreement set a time guideline of 5 years, during which time Israel would withdraw from the 1967 occupied Palestinian territories in accordance with UNSC Resolutions 242 & 338. It did not.

He could have stopped this catastrophe on day one, with s single phone call to Lloyd Austin to stop all weapon shipments to Israel. The US has a dysfunctional political system, when its 2 main candidates for national leadership are both amoral incompetents.
