    Wait, is peanut butter and jelly not a thing in Europe? Someone just told me this and that its kind of looked down on. Or that peanut butter is hard to find.

    It is nuts and fruit, with sugar. You ever eat some nuts with some dried fruit and it is a similar concept.

    I am just a little perplexed because most people are fine with nuts, but for some reason turning them into a spreadable paste is haram apparently.

    I almost TL;DR'd this when you were talking about priest breaking and am glad I did not.

    I tend to avoid drawing comparisons to God as a concept like objective truth, because the last time I did (with the Holy Spirit as an all encompassing essence) some nerd said "So the Holy Spirit is like the Force from Star Wars?"

    It definitely scared me from making too many overtures towards Eastern thoughts and interpretations of God.

    Breaking definitely made me pause, it sounded like a reddit atheist bragging. But if you caused legitimate crisis of faith then it is accurate, there's a lot of things that embarrass me too and that I only barely open up about. I feel that pain.

    I still want to avoid disappointing Him. Not (just) because I worry about being forgiven but because I don't want to. The same reason I don't want to upset family and friends, or people that have done right by me.

    My about face back to being religious was slow and no one thing did it, but one of the big pushes was a dream where Jesus called me and chastised me for my behavior. He wasn't angry. He was disappointed, and that hurt.
