@GossiTheDog while I'd like to see X gone sooner rather than later, the payments are unrelated to him inciting violence. Someone is always paying someone, you could also claim that Tesla Drivers pay for the UK violence because they pay Tesla, Tesla pays Musk, Musk keeps Twitter afloat with his financial backing and Twitter shares ads. All links in this chain are clearly there, yet the value of this statement is questionable at best.

@Gargron this is basically just a symptom of how utterly fucked up IP and copyright are nowadays. It empowers IP-owners to charge ridiculous rates per language they license out, and since per design there can only ever be one rightholder to a given series or movie, Streaming services can either pay or walk away.

Ich bin ein bisschen erschüttert von der mangelnden Feinfühligkeit des #ÖRR im Zusammenhang mit den Anti-Nazi-Demonstrationen. Meinetwegen werden nicht die dicken Geschütze wie Brennpunkt oder so aufgefahren, weil die Behinderung der Öffentlichkeit nicht so hoch ist oder was weiß ich, ok. Aber in diesem Klima AfD Politiker einzuladen??? Es fällt mir extrem schwer, hier kein Vertrauen zu verlieren. Wer entscheidet sowas und welche Kontrollmechanismen existieren, um hier zu korrigieren?

@Gargron I don't believe it to be so black and white. I mean it's always a question of focus in my opinion. Having e.g. some procedurally generated crowds as background to just flesh out an image that doesn't focus on background would be a valid usecase in my opinion. But yeah, fully-generated images are essentially just minced meat of everything that came before.

So far, in every ad that had 'AI' in it, I replaced it with 'intransparent surveillance desaster' and the ad still made a terrible amount of sense 😅

well but the impersionation risk is much lower. By only allowing lowercase letters and numbers it is next to Impossible to create an impersonation account that is basically indistinguishable from the original
