Harris and Biden have been delivering on healthcare. They have more than "concepts of a plan". DFT has been promising that his is right around the corner for nine years. But, surprise! It never existed.
A cool sustainable-ag break from my doom-scrolling. "Tree canopies buffer soil from the impact of heavy rain, and their roots plunge deep beneath the soil surface and fan out laterally, further holding soil in place. They suck up nutrients all year long, keeping excess fertilizer and manure from leaching away and polluting water. Trees shield crops and soil from the wind. And they both build carbon in the soil as their leaves drop and decompose and store it in their roots, trunks, and branches."
Nothing disgusting here, right? Like there’s no way he could be trying to pave the way for intimidation of voting officials!
“MyPillow founder Mike Lindell's "election crime" group allegedly sent out emails requesting personal information from local officials and information about security threats by impersonating a nonprofit cybersecurity initiative.”
Tens of millions of rethuglicans don't believe in democracy? We knew that. They just need to stop calling themselves patriots and lecturing us about how to act in this country.
@Nonilex I wonder if Trump will show his deep and humble respect for the deceased service people by releasing a video of the photographs of him, grinning and giving a thumbs up at the Arlington graves with the song “Another One Bites the Dust” as the soundtrack.
@aral@Moonslime@WrenArcher@kamalaharrisforpresidentnews In 1968, frustrated opponents of the Vietnam War allowed (compulsive liar, demagogue, and far-right troll) Richard Nixon to defeat Vice President Hubert Humphrey for US President. Nixon not only stepped up the genocide, he added another in Cambodia, and tacked on some coups in Latin America. Beware of false equivalencies.
@FelisCatus@aral@Moonslime@WrenArcher@kamalaharrisforpresidentnews Well, here's the thing. Both Nixon and Johnson/Humphrey promised to end the war. Nixon, being the POS that he was, secretly torpedoed the Democratic plan. Then he went on with the war for 4 more years, escalated troops and bombing, and destroyed a few bonus countries. So, NO! I blame Nixon and those who failed to distinguish between him and Humphrey.
In the report (see above) Walz reminds Republican negotiators he was (had been) a member of the teachers union. We've never had that kind of representation in my life. And we've had a lot of people who never educated designing education policy!
A pared down school voucher program to bring the Republicans on board? Like, can we steal SOME of the education money for private, religious schools?
Not for Walz!
"This time, it was a “hard no.” “It was like kind of ‘Over my dead body,’” she recalled in an interview. “He would have shut down state government if they insisted on vouchers.”
Republicans are also angry he insisted that COVID levels actually be low before schools reopened. Stay angry, haters.
Why don't Americans believe in the Supreme Court? Well, first the obvious corruption. Second the contempt for our laws and naked favoritism for Republicans. But third, this
Wait, I don't know who Leonard Leo is . . .? That's OK, start here. If you care at all about US government, you'll find this agonizingly important. #USPol
Remember that the Florida-Felon-Waiting-to-be-Sentenced-For-34-Felony-Counts is not counting on gaining a lot of Black voters when he gives a speech (to a mostly white audience) in a Black Detroit church. He wants white supporters to believe that voting for him is not racist because he "has Black support." While his number of Black supporters IS greater than zero, nah. Voting for him is still racist.
"We will notify President Trump if you don’t vote. You can’t afford to have that on your record.”
The author dispenses with any childish notion that non-rich commoners have anything to offer Tangerine Palpatine but their obedience. And if they fail him in any way, they must expect to be punished.
Also note that the Republican insistence that early voting is suspect has been banished into the land of we-never-said-THAT.
I have believed in democracy for a long time, and don't like to see cynical forces attack it.I post a lot about USPolitics.Header picture Mastodon for Harris Walz bannerPortrait is a picture in which I look remarkably like a famous secret agent, but aged. (he/him/his)
