@obrhoff I'm always in favor of a desktop with a less expensive laptop as a secondary machine. it gives me security that if the laptop dies (mobile devices have more opportunities to get into trouble!) I will always have a "big computer" to rely on.

today's jam...ever feel like you're being followed by trent reznor? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT3cERVRoQo

@Fragglemuppet I found a book called Unmasking Autism really helpful to confirm some of my feelings.

@Fragglemuppet I had a remote interview for ADHD assessment from my former therapist clinic. I’m suspicious I might be AuDHD as well but I don’t see the need for an assessment quite yet since that seems like a rather lengthy and expensive process. I’m hesitant to claim autism but I sure share a ton of experiences and comorbidities with autistic people! 🤔

@Infoseepage I have a little Bos and Joe in me. Probably more Cameron than I'd like to admit. A lot of Gordon for what it's worth. It's so rewarding to watch them evolve. I can't pick a fave!

if you work at apple and think your company has any values, maybe start rattling some cages around the spaceship

bro spent too much

idk maybe everyone should aspire to live a life where their wellbeing isn't dependent on the punishment and murder of thousands of ppl.

we can't get hung up on moral absolutism...we're all complicit.

we can't do anything about the past, but we can try and stop this kind of shit from happening now and into the future. that's all we got. it ain't much but that's all we got.

@mac84tv whaaaaaaaaaa you were in town and I missed you!!!! how is this possible

Anyone have recommendations for headphones/headset that will let me sit in a somewhat lively cafe and still come through in work calls?

lol i wouldn't have bought a thing last week if i knew it was going to be shipped by ontrac

looking at the #apple vision pro coverage, it's so clear that none of the breakthroughs that were presumed to happen haven't— even a little bit.

the richest, most sophisticated company is still bumping up against the limits of physics (cameras, optics, displays, battery chemistry, heat), biology (motion sickness, hand tracking awkwardness, comfort) and sociality (insularity, creepy avatars).

if this is the best the industry can come up with, then it doesn't bode well at all.
