@RetroFox@storiesofapple Yep! Pioneer made a few PPC clones (and one 68k clone), the person who set up the exhibit was super cool and had more non-Pioneer clones too, I’d tag them but I don’t think they’re on Mastodon.
@RonsCompVids@kristoff these were just examples to use as jumping off points but yes, plenty of OS options to choose from if you wanna make Gil Amelio cry!
@_the_cloud Ah, that’s unrelated to this disk but that was a follow-up letter from the software developer of MacCalc inquiring about a 512K Mac from Apple. It’s from September of 1985 and addressed to Alain Rossman, Apple’s software evangelist.
Tron in 3D, at this Laser IMAX theater was hands-done the best 3D films I’ve experienced. It felt like I was in a theme park ride, really sad they don’t release 3D Blu-ray discs in this country anymore.
If you go see it, see it on a huge screen in 3D - it really added to the fun ride.
My Macintosh POOsi power supply needs to finish being rebuilt, but I bought the wrong caps. So Saturday at noon eastern, we'll use a drill to hopefully finish it. The case turned out really nice (considering where it started) so I'm looking forward to showing that. https://youtube.com/live/-d0CBp_hklI?feature=share
@DosFox@paulrickards Oh my, tell me the story of how you found these ROMs, super cool!
I did a video ages ago that talked about Unitron and I always thought it would be fun to inspect the ROMs to see how much was just copied Apple code. Neat!! 🎉
@paulrickards@DosFox The blasted thing apparently only likes the Mac 128K and 512K. I'll try on my 512Ke, but apparently the company didn't really support the Mac Plus, according to very old posts I've found.
