@6b6279 Aladdin Systems, Inc. created StuffIt Expander / DropStuff. However, the use of Aladdin here as a code name seems unrelated, even though an early version of StuffIt was often bundled with AOL to help decompress downloads, etc.

Upon further inspection, this appears to be an in-development build of AOL 2.0 or 2.0.1. There are folders referencing AOL 2.0.1 here, although they are blank. The dates line up much more closely than version 1.0.

I have the manual too but I haven’t gotten to them yet. I have two systems myself but they are a bit beat up.

Recently I needed to dust off DVD Studio Pro 4 to author a DVD of home movies for a family member. However, the modern Compressor 5 app's MPEG-2 video presets weren't playing ball... at least not without some tinkering.
