@thomasfuchs @usps Website said I had to wait till the 12th to make a claim, called on the 14th because website was stuck on March 12th. Person on the phone told me I had to wait till the 12th.

Me: "What is today's date?"

Them: "Marth 14th."

Me: "OK, let's make a claim."

Them: "You have to wait till after March 12th."

Me: "OF WHAT YEAR, MA'AM?"

They let me open a claim... and that's when folks started calling me from their personal cell numbers LOL

@thomasfuchs @usps Maybe my most exciting Ground Advantage story this year is when I shipped a couple hundred dollars in retrogear only to have the package lost for a month, being denied the ability to open a claim, and watching it makes multiple trips back and forth to distribution centers.

Employees on the ground (who called me from their personal cell phones - because they claim the phones don't work, and that management doesn't answer voicemail) were very helping in tracking it down.

I love the @usps & hate what is being done to it by people too ignorant to realize that it's a service, not a profit center. That said #GroundAdvantage is the worst, and undermines confidence (By design or by accident) in the broader USPS.

ELIMINATE this terrible service option.
