human use of connotation and metaphor is a big part of why LLMs will never surmount the slop problem that renders them useless. you can't use an algoritim to produce meaningful material from language when every word has inconsistent meaning. I think for that reason LLMs will never be able to produce meaning. they can produce only sloppy garbage. I am sick of them, and I cant wait for the bubble to burst and for those who are going to lose their money to it to come to their senses.

@PacificNic absolutely. make them feel small and weak, harm them brutally, break their weak little bodies and their pathetic will, take and destroy what they love. they will only then listen to the facts, not because the facts have merit but because you took the time to engage with them in kindness by speaking to them in their own language, the only one they will ever fucking understand.

in his extremely useful book Are Men Animals? anthropologist Matthew Gutmann argues that predatory behaviour by men is in no way inevitable. men behave the way they do because culture permits it, not because biology demands it.

I am on Chapter 1 and I have learned a book's worth of information already. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in doing their part to systematically end mens violence against women.
