Just went to share a link from my browser. The link included an image. Normally, I remove the image. But Fedilab no longer lets me remove it!

@oldguycrusty @Benhm3 Ages ago, I left a tech position. Instead of a traditional HR-drone exit interview, I got an interview with a C-suite VP. She did listen to why I was leaving and all that, but it was clear she really wanted to find out how much my new position paid. I think they were ready to match it (to some extent), but weren't willing to match a salary twice what they were paying me.

Not sad I left. About six months later, they closed the office in Hawaii.

Now I'm confused. Maybe I don't know how quotes are supposed to work in Mastodon.

When I tap the Quote icon in Fedilab, the toot I was viewing at the time appears above where I can put in my own text. But when I send, no trace of the "quoted" toot appears, and my toot isn't even linked to the quoted one. So Quote just acts like a limited Reply.

Oh, well, sorry for the confusion.
