@glynmoody Good luck! They are banned here in Hawaii, but that didn't stop people from setting off commercial grade aerials in their front yard, burning down their house, etc.
Hawaii has a long Asian fireworks tradition, where the loudness is an important part of frightening away evil spirits. Drone displays are pretty, but lack loudness! @troglet
@glynmoody Ah, the old "tradition" argument, in countries (Austria has similar problems) where this "tradition" is... not really that old or traditional, really. I can only imagine how survivors of war zones who came to our countries as refugees, or people with PTSD in general, can cope with this. There's absolutely no reason for this annual carnage.
@glynmoody Ahhh.... Memories of the bottle rocket wars on the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin in the 70s and 80s on New Years Eve. Infantry training came in handy.... fire and manuever....
