I did the same thing with my 8 year old computer. Then the keyboard died (unrelated) and I decided it was time for a new one. I made a partition for Linux, but my USB stick wouldn't boot because of Secure Boot and bitlocker. Plus I found some stuff that says my trackpad probably won't work.

I'll get back to it, I haven't given up, but it's not quite seamless yet to set up dual-boot. 😥

@kingrat I have interchangeable rubber thingies but I don't know if the ones I picked are too big or too small. How does one know?

@inthehands I think this might stem from the fact that it takes less energy to think about something that is neatly contained in a well-defined box.

Considering ramifications, interactions, fuzzy gray areas takes work. Everyone is sometimes too tired to do that work, and some are always too tired (or too unwilling) to do that work.

@inthehands I think the web browser was the thing that made "the internet" win out over CompuServe and the proprietary networks.

What will the Netscape Navigator of the Fediverse be? (The developmental analog, not the functional analog, and definitely not actually a browser)
