What a surprise! NOT!
I read at about 1/3rd of the report back then as I was curious.
I managed that part and with my knowledge of the subject could only conclude the whole report was one compilation of prejudice and anti-trans bias.
And then I'm definitely not an expert, but I've been active long enough in the LGBTQI world to build my knowledge. -

@thomasfuchs Hmmm...... Part of your writing is similar in the thoughts I gave to an IT professor after listening to her talk at an event.
I also mentioned it being based on the largest data heist in history.
She wasn't amused, and the moderator switchted to the next question..... -

@libreoffice Well, I've noticed a new feature today - that is that yesterday I did notice it, but did have the idea there was some external reason - that while editing a document, if the computer goes in screen lock and possibly suspend, the next time opening the document which had been saved, but not closed, is no longer on the spot where I was editing, but on the top of the document.......
This is just utterly annoying!
And obvously shouldn't happen, but the cursor still remain where it was! -

@Mastodon To be honest, I really think that Mastodon should not have a prominent office in the US, but it should be clear to be a European entity under EU laws.
With the US office in New York mentioned on the website as prominent as it is, I think might very well turn a lot of people who want a break from US tech away from using Mastodon.

@libreoffice Is this just me, or has exporting documens direct to PDF changed from saving the PDF in the same folder as the document to saving it in some random folder where earlier an othe file or PDF was saved?
I don't recall even having had to pay attention when saving a document directly as PDF.
Next to the document being worked on should be default. -

BTW, I really hope that Denmark will be really, really quick to migrate their data away from Azure, AWS, Google, and other US company based cloud services!
Otherwise they might hear the message: "Well, you'll get your data back if you hand over Greenland to the US!"

@pluralistic For the last month I've been announcing on Falbook that I will be cancelling my account before the end of the month.
So, that people should mail me their up to date contact details so we can keep in touch.
Well, just only a very few did so.
The rest will just be a shame, but my ring of people will je be smaller. -

@killyourfm @thunderbird in 2004 I think we were on 1Mbps down and 256kbps up.
Quite an upgrade from the ISDN TA or before that the 14k4 to later 56k modems. -

@LaF0rge LOL! I'm pretty sure that at least here in NL there is no Telex infrastructure any more.
But, I would be surprised if there are no more Telex enthousiast in Amateur Radio playing with it.
My Siemens t100 hasn't seen power though for at least 25-30 years I guess.
