@skinnylatte Interesting. In the USA, if you give money as a gift, if it's large enough (like above $100), it's typically as a check rather than cash.

@Viss @skinnylatte The best way to cure the “want” of a Leica is to rent one. I rented a Q2 about 5 years ago; it was a joy to use but the photos it took were worse than other cameras I rented.

@skinnylatte Did you have COVID? If so, did the brain fog start after getting a COVID infection? I have a friend who is suffering from long COVID and am wondering whether CPAP might help him.

Got a different brand of cold cereal this morning - something with almonds and fruit that’s marketed to adults. Tooth-acheningly sweet, more than Raisin Bran. Not buying that one again.

Reminds me how @skinnylatte won’t eat sweet American breakfasts. I might feel similar if they were all like this.

@skinnylatte Did you have pet insurance? If so, was it cost-effective? For our last 2 dogs, the cost of insurance would have been much more than the cost of vet bills, even including expensive treatments near end-of-life.
