@aral @EU_Commission or just let #apple « malicious compliance » itself into oblivion. That whole mess is a clear sign to me (not that I needed one): stay away from apple products.

Rémi Letot (rletot@mamot.fr)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Dec-2023 05:05:47 JST Rémi Letot @aral but you *could* have done it with a scythe... More precisely: I don't know if it's really possible and efficient to mow that kind of « garden grass » with a scythe. And the investment is quite a bit too high to do it just for testing.
If yes (which you seem to imply), I really have to consider a scythe once our building renovation is finally over... Thanks 🙂

Rémi Letot (rletot@mamot.fr)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Oct-2023 20:47:57 JST Rémi Letot @breizh I'm not complaining. Just saying that having to pay to conserve fundamental rights is not « way better » than having those right ignored. It's just a bit less bad, and still unacceptable. @noybeu

Rémi Letot (rletot@mamot.fr)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Oct-2023 20:47:53 JST Rémi Letot @breizh what do you not understand in « EU users would then have to pay $ 168 a year if they don't want to give up their fundamental right to privacy on Facebook and Instagram » ? The service is there and free, the payment is just to conserve your rights. @noybeu

Rémi Letot (rletot@mamot.fr)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Oct-2023 20:45:38 JST Rémi Letot @breizh way better ? Maybe. Like crossing a small town at 200km/h is way better than doing so at 220km/h. It's « way better » (actually just a bit less bad), but still unacceptable. @noybeu

Rémi Letot (rletot@mamot.fr)'s status on Tuesday, 03-Oct-2023 20:45:30 JST Rémi Letot @breizh you're framing that into an either/or proposition. But it's not.
I'm actually not asking Meta to provide anything. I just want them to comply to existing legislation. The business model to do so is up to them, not me. @noybeu
