I don't like how society does apologies and forgiveness.
Time passing doesn't make up for harm.
Hollow words, without action to prevent recurrence, don’t demonstrate care.
We just pretend the bad thing didn't happen? And that it won't happen again?
I saw a stray dog today as I drove myself and others to our friends' place for brunch, a brindle mutt, like mine was.
The dog was in the middle of a side street, trying to eat something off the concrete. Neither of the somewhat nearby humans seemed attached to it.
A turning car honked to get past and the dog darted onto the sidewalk. After that I was past where I could watch, and lanes of traffic away.
I didn’t know what to do.
I don't know what I should have done.
@jeffowski I would like to see a bong for a mouse.
Does anyone have advice on cleaning a leather couch?
A dog snoozed on it (mud, slobber, fur), and I don't trust the broader internet to answer factual questions at the moment.
Here is a financial analysis I would like to see:
The cost to employers of Corsi-Rosenthal boxes and C02 monitors
versus
The cost to employers of sick leave / "lost productivity” / employee turnover.
New personal motto:
BE KIND OR SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I've complained about this before, but rhetoric about “women's right to choose” makes me angry.
It’s sanitized-euphemistic and exclusionary.
We need to be clear and uncompromising and unified.
Pregnant people have the right to end their pregnancies.
Ooh, how about for the length of their term. You'd end up with politicians determined to actually improve things.
Yeah, that's the argument current politicians make to justify giving themselves huge salaries with regular increases plus allowances, and it *still* doesn't stop them. So I don't think it's a good reason not to try it.
I thought it was maybe a bit strange at the end that the front gray cat was looking up when the birdie is behind on the floor. But GAWD it's subtle.
I don't celebrate Christmas.
I'm not Christian, I get annoyed at people who assume I'm Christian, I get furious at people who impose Christianity on me.
I hate calendar-based obligation gifts and performative affection.
I'm anti-capitalist and pro-environment.
I find big loud gatherings involving food and allistic judgment stressful. The ongoing pandemic is of course another major stressor.
I bet I sound pretty Grinch-y.

@feditips might be of use on this question tomorrow:
@goatsarah @qurlyjoe oh no
@goatsarah @qurlyjoe See, exactly.
@goatsarah @qurlyjoe Ah, hmm. Thank you.
Nocturno?! For if it's late at night and you don't want to wake the neighbours?
Antialergias?! Shouldn't that apply always?
Lana / Läs looks like a little dude singing in a bathtub.
I love it but I would cry.
@goatsarah I think you're the third person to say "40 degrees" 😆
